YUVAJANA SAKHYAM

The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was organized with a view that all the young people in the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord, and bear witness to His saving power.
The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was founded in 1933 with the following objectives:
To help the Youth accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
To help them develop proper physical, mental, social and spiritual growth, Christian fellowship and proper training for Christian service.
To help them gain and nurture loyalty to the Church and co-operate to its activities and create an interest for Evangelism and Witnessing.
To help the youth of the church to grow into the totality of Christ.
To train the youth of the Church in the worship and fellowship of Christian life.
To have participation of the youth in the mission of the Church.
To instill love and faith towards the Church and Christian values and to help the over all growth of the Church.
To improve the knowledge of the youth in the Holy Bible, church's faith and practice, Ecumenism and in current social affairs through training camps, meetings, discussions and classes.
There is a four-fold program of Worship, Study, Witness and Service to achieve the above goals.
The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam publishes Yuvadeepam in Malayalam and Ripples in English with articles of interest to youth and Bible reading notes for devotion and study. with focus on the needs of the Church and Society.
The Yuvajana Sakhyam members meets every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month after service at the NECK Hall of Faith where the members come together to praise the Lord, discuss and study the spiritual scriptures , share experiences and have true fellowship under the leadership of our Achen. It's a place where where young people get together and grow in Christ.
Members of the Church, aged 12 upto 35 years can be members of the Yuvajana Sakhyam.
