The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sangham, the woman's wing, was inaugurated during the Maramon Convention in the year 1919, under the leadership of Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan., who gave the Sangham continued support and inspiration. The motto of the Mar Thoma Sevika Sangham is 'Service and Evangelism in the life and mission of the Mar Thoma Church'. Every woman of the Mar Thoma Church above the age of 18 years is a member of the Sevika Sangham. The Sevika Sanghom is an active organization playing a vital role in the ministerial and spiritual growth of the church . It enables woman to participate in the life and mission of the Church.

To strengthen the spiritual life within the group , the Sevika Sangham meets regularly on below schedules

1st & 3rd Saturday at 10:30 am at Parsonage

2nd Saturday at 04:00 pm at Sharq area

4th Saturday at 05:30 pm at Farwaniya area

for bible study, prayer and fellowship under the leadership of the Vicar. The World Prayer Day for Woman and Sevika Sanghom Day are observed each year where the woman assist and actively participate in the worship service on that day.

The Mar Thoma Sevika Sangham publishes the Vanitha Bodhini.

The organization owes much to the self sacrificing and indefatigable work of Mrs. Kandamma Varghese as organizing Secretary for over 20 years traveling far and wide, organizing branches in parishes, doing evangelistic work among Christians and non-Christians.

In the past, the Sevika Sanghom has provided remarkable service to the Lord by providing financial support to marriage aid fund, home for homeless projects schemes.
